Nestled in the center of the town, Unión Cantinil receives coffee from a compact 15km radius. This lofty area boasts some of the finest beans in Huehuetenango. Due to the mountains' north-facing slope, the sun leisurely makes its way to the petite plots where the beans are carefully cultivated. Although some Catimor can be found here, the majority of varietals are classic and perfect for brewing a top-notch cup, such as Bourbons, Caturras, and Paches.
